Erica Mather is the creative force behind Muses Productions, a conceptual umbrella that covers many different activities, services, and products, from artistic to athletic.  In ancient Greece no separation was perceived between arts, sciences, or athletics, and Muses Productions honors that unity.

The Muses Productions logo, a nine-point star, pays homage to the nine Muses, daughters of Mnemosyne the Goddess of memory, and of Zeus.  Each Muse presides over and protects an art or science:
Cleo guards the stories of heroes, Urania astronomy, Calliope elegies, Melpomene the tragedies, Euterpe flute playing, Erato love poems, Tripsicore choir lyrics, Thalia the comedies and Polyhymnia dance and music.

The Muses love to sing and dance.  They demonstrate superior musical abilities in all musical competitions and anyone who dares to challenge them will always fall short, just as will those who question their importance.  When they compete against the Sirens, the Muses always win.  A father once challenged the Muses to compete with his daughters, and when the Muses won they changed the daughters into crows to spite him. The poet Thamyris bragged about being able to remember all of his work without the help of the Muses; the Muses punished him by taking his memory and eyesight. They are often led by the god of music, Apollo, and entertain at Olympus.

Erica doesn't claim to have mastery over all that the Muses do (judging from the punishments they dole out it would be foolish to boast!), but takes these goddesses as excellent role models.
