Forrest Yoga 3-Day Continuing Ed. for Teachers.  Here's a testimonial from a participant in the Forrest Yoga 3-continuing Ed. for Teachers, run at Kula NYC, April 2011, next to run at Pure Yoga in March 2012.

"Erica has both a powerful presence and a warm, inviting nature.  She speaks to you with the confidence of true understanding and listens with kindness and compassion.  Being a teacher myself, I often find taking classes to be a challenge.  It can be hard to be placed back in the role of student without having my ego flare up or my attention wander from personal introspection to class observation.  Erica has the ability to draw you in, to inspire your practice, and to break through the ego, unlocking your whole being and guiding you toward transformation.  While I have taken Forrest yoga classes in the past, Erica has opened my eyes to a new way of practice that encourages awareness, authenticity and healing.  I look forward to studying with her again."  ~Rebecca

In this nine hour, three day workshop you will learn the basic philosophy behind various traditions' approaches to sequencing, learn how to sequence a fun, safe, and challenging Vinyasa class, design and teach classes to your colleagues, receive feedback on your design and teaching, and conclude by co-teaching to the community a class you and your class create.  You will walk away with a library of sequences written by you and your colleagues, and a deeper understanding about how to make great classes that guide the long term evolution of your students' practices.

"I believe that Erica’s deep understanding of physiologically friendly sequencing stems in part from her lifelong immersion in music.  Her sense of compositional shape, improvisation, and rhythm segue into her feel for yoga sequencing, the rhythms of the class, and of the human body.  Her keen intelligence allows her to move intuitively, makes her quick to respond to whatever the moment needs, and helps her students heal from past injuries as well as attain poses and mastery of the poses in ways they had not imagined.  All this adds to the beauty of Erica’s teaching."  ~Ana Forrest

"Erica's workshop was incredible! I learned how to sequence intelligently, and walked away with an arsenal of tools that can only help me grow as a teacher. The magic behind the workshop was Erica's ability to hold space for teachers to find their truth while teaching." -Yelimar Rodriguez CYI, HHC

"Whether you're a new or seasoned teacher, Erica's workshop expands one's repertoire and opens up the teacher to new & different ways of clearly communicating a class. Guiding you to journey outside the standard sequencing box, Erica takes great care in conveying her own knowledge & wisdom while also encouraging each teacher's authenticity. Her feedback, as well as input from the other attendees, inspires the teacher to delve deeper inside to bring out creativity that sometimes gets buried under burnout or lack of confidence. The air in this workshop was filled with an eclectic community of support and insightful ideas that evolved my teaching to a higher level." ~Ola Ahmad, workshop participant
